Asparagus Festival 2024: A Gourmet Rendezvous in Mont-de-Marsan

From Friday April 5 to Sunday April 14, 2024, Mont-de-Marsan is adorned with spring delights with the unmissable “Asparagus Festival” event. During these ten festive days, four restaurants in the city celebrate this culinary treasure through special menus featuring Landes asparagus in all its forms.

“Asparagus en Fête” menu at €45 per person (excluding drinks):

• Entrance : Royal green asparagus, parmesan espuma, Duroc Batallé ham shavings, bread chips.
• Flat : Cod cooked in two ways, white and green asparagus flan, lemon thyme jus.
• Dessert : Homemade shortbread tart, strawberries with Madagascar vanilla oil and whipped cream with asparagus scents.

On Saturday April 6, from 9 a.m. to noon, Place St Roch comes to life with an asparagus and Landes nectars fair.. Local producers and chefs from Mons invite you to discover, taste and buy their products directly, such as asparagus, Floc de Gascogne and Tursan wine. In addition, the museum of rural life in the Landes region will offer activities on the traditional cultivation of asparagus.
